Samantha Inoue Harte serves as Head of Production at NLite Media, a Black owned anime studio, best known for their partnership with Oscar-winning US film distributor, GKids, and Academy award winning Viola Davis’ company, Juvee Productions. NLite Media focuses on the creation of Afro-centric anime under Samantha’s supervision as Head of Production. Samantha is currently producing on several “Afrime” productions including the recently announced Hotaru and Ripper, which have Oscar-winning “Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse” director, Peter Ramsey and Viola Davis to produce. Samantha also serves as US Head of Animated Content and Producer for Emmy Award winning anime studio GONZO K.K. which is best known for Hellsing, Afro Samurai, Basilisk, Samurai7, Witchblade, Last Exile, Gantz and over 70 other anime titles. Samantha oversees US-Japanese co-productions for GONZO K.K., many of which can be seen on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix. Samantha also is a co-owner of an Emmy award winning recording studio called LazuArts, which provides casting and recording for videogames, TV series, and features with a focus on creating a more racially diverse and inclusive casting process.
